Georgia offers free voluntary brand registration through the Department of Agriculture. Registered brands provide prima facie evidence of ownership. Brands are reviewed on a 5-year cycle, with renewals due in years ending in 4 and 9. Georgia recently created an online pdf brand book to make it easy to distribute.

Missing & Stolen Livestock
- How to Report
- The Georgia Department of Agriculture does not have an way to report stray livestock like many other states do. Instead they use local agencies to handle these matters. You can make requests regarding animal welfare though.
