Kansas Livestock Branding

Kansas requires all livestock brands to be registered before use. Brands can be registered in six locations on the animal, with each location counting as a separate registration. The state maintains an online searchable database of registered brands.

Registration Fee: $5 application fee (non-refundable) + $70 registration fee per location
Renewal Cycle: 5 years (from April 1)
Renewal Fee: $70 per location
Notes: Brands must have 2-4 characters with at least 2 differences from existing brands. Six locations available. Processing takes 4-6 weeks.
