Minnesota Livestock Branding
Minnesota has over 1,200 registered livestock brands managed by the Board of Animal Health. Brands can be placed on cattle, horses, sheep, or mules. Each letter, number, or figure must be at least four inches in length. Brand designs should be simple with 2-3 symbols.

- Applications must be notarized and mailed. Brands must be 4+ inches. Cannot brand horse necks, jaws, or ribs. All brands registered after Jan 1, 2016 valid until Dec 31, 2025.
